Default Where are the Bots?

Good Afternoon,
Lately I've been farming alot more, trying to earn the money for Gwen in 2 weeks. Today, I decided to check out Arborstone; since it had been a while. And lo and behold, the bot train had left town. With my interest piqued I checked out Bergen, and the same thing. Only lonely Pugs looking for monks. Did I miss an update, or maybe it's returned to normal now. Just Curious. Never tried botting, and really despised them, because it hurts someone who actually likes farming for hours on end. Maybe I'm still dreaming, just woke up from a nap

Strange. I've been kinda inactive for a while now and if they really did leave bergen i wonder if Anet seriously banned them.

Think they must have been cleared in the duping-purges. No suspect monks in Bergen nor Altrumm (in Europe Common or International Districts, at least)

I have noticed a decline in bots for a bout a week now in the hot spring. Been farming there alot lately too. Maybe there is a positive spin on the duping thing.

Bots are everywhere.

In your shopping mall.

At the local supermarket.

They might even be hidden in your groceries right now...

NOT MINE!!!

ok, back to topic.

Well, the bots are still there but less than before. I found only 2-3 in granite citadel yesterday last night.

Yeah I've noticed this as well, in the marketplace the other day there was no sign of the usual bots there.

Update - Friday August 10
Bug Fixes

* Removed the ability to create a Guild Wars account without a Guild Wars Access Key.
http://www.guildwars.com/support/gameupdates/

I believe with the banning and that update, it really did a number to the bots.

It;s nice to finally see a fix, hopefully it will last.
Maybe things can become more profitable overall.

Off Topic: are there any screens of GweN armor?

Yeah, that sure came as a shock to me too. That there was a way to create an acoRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO without an access key... I mean, just imagine, free guild wars...

You know, there is one thing that I'd really like to know:
How did they level and progress their characters to the farming spots so quickly? I mean, a bot will eventually get banned, and will need to be recreated from scratch. How did they do it en masse?

This time of the year, the bots are migrating to the north to escape the rising temperature. Also it's a bot hunting season, any smart bots would move away or laying low.

You can get run anywhere in Prophecies almost from the very beginning. And with the introduction of tomes it is very easy to get the skills needed, and also these guys are farming anyways, really easy to power level new bots.
